HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress leaders have intensified their efforts to make former AICC chief Sonia Gandhi’s public meeting in Medcha a success. Her son, AICC president Rahul Gandhi, will also be participating in the meeting scheduled for November 20.
“Sonia Gandhi has a special place in the hearts of the people of Telangana, as she played a key role in the formation of the State. As she is coming to Telangana for the first time it is a historic event,” said Telangana AICC-incharge RC Khuntia. Speaking to Congress workers in a ‘Facebook live meeting, TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy said Sonia’s visit was ‘historic’.
Senior leaders are leaving no stone unturned to make the AICC matron’s visit a hit. The TPCC chief, AICC secretaries and local leaders have been visiting the meeting venue on a daily basis, supervising arrangements closely. TPCC working president A Revanth Reddy and AICC Secretary NS Bose Raju also visited the venue in Medchal to oversee the arrangements.
TPCC leadership has asked its cadres from all over the State to be ready for the meeting and mobilise as many people as possible.
