SHE'S a popular face in Kerala and her show Tamil Hits on Kiran TV made her quite famous among Tamil viewers too.  After her successful stint in VJ-ing, Sandra has taken acting as a full-time job. "I acted in a number of movies as a child artiste in Malayalam. I also played heroine and character roles in more than 30 films," informs Sandra, who is acting in 'Roja Kootam' serial on Vijay TV.

"My character name is Janani. She is so innocent that it makes everyone laugh at her. She is equally naughty too. After hermarriage, Janani is forced to become a stereotyped housewife. Her whole world revolves around her husband and father-in-law," says the artiste.

Sandra's husband Prajin is also a well-known actor. "I like his serials 'Anjali' and 'Kaadhalika Neramilai'. He has completed two movies," informs Sandra, who loves watching her husband hosting the shows.

Both VJs fell in love and it was only through phone that they communicated. "I came to Chennai and we got married. Though there was initial opposition, everything is better now," says Sandra, who plans to concentrate only on serials. "I am getting two more offers and I choose to act in serials. It was bit difficult to speak Tamil. At the time of audition I even felt like coming out of the place, but now I am getting used to the language," says Sandra.

Catch the artiste in 'Roja Kootam', which is on air from Monday to Thursday at 7 pm on Vijay TV
