NEW DELHI: Disney Television International India will rename the kids' channel Jetix as Disney XD and the change will go into effect on Children's Day Nov 14.
"Disney XD will continue the successes of Jetix by taking boy-focused, girl-inclusive entertainment to the next level," Natasha Malhotra, vice-president and general manager of Walt Disney Television International India, said in a statement Thursday.
"Disney XD will feature characters and stories in a wide range of formats," she added.
This is the third time the channel's name is being changed - it was first called Toon Disney. Also debuting with the new brand is its online destination - www.disneyxd.in
