Usha Uthup to cheer up ‘Indian Idol 5’ finalists

The legendary singer will appear once again to encourage the finalists in the show that ends on August 15.

The finale for ‘Indian Idol 5’ is right around the corner and the viewers are getting anxious along with the participants. Amidst this high tension, the veteran pop singer Usha Uthup appears on the reality show of Sony Entertainment television to lighten the mood. The singer will be seen encouraging the finalists.

Usha Uthup, who has been signing in 16 Indian languages, will be the special mentor in the episode. The judge Anu Malik will dedicate a shayeri for the singer as he does usually for others. All the three finalists will perform one by one with Uthup on their regional song. Usha has sung in the languages such as Bengali, Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu during her more than four decade long career.

In the first and second season of ‘Indian Idol’, Usha Uthup appeared in disguise. She also came as one of the guests of honour and encouraged the participants earlier.

The finale of the much talked about reality show will be aired on August 15.
