Southern actress Lakshmi Menon, who locked lips with Vishal Krishna for upcoming Tamil actioner "Naan Sigappu Manithan", doesn't mind on-screen kissing as long as it is vital to the script.

"Naan Sigappu Manithan", about a character suffering from narcolepsy, is directed by Thiru. It is slated to release April 11.

"I only agreed to do the scene because the director explained its context. It was required in the story. Hence I didn't mind... I don't mind doing it if the story really demands it," Lakshmi told IANS.

But she is clear that she won't kiss on screen just to woo audiences.

"Audiences have some expectations from me. I'm doing a lip-locking scene for the first time and I'm waiting to see their reaction. I can't be doing such scenes to impress the audience because then the image they have about me will be tarnished," she added.

The film is jointly produced by Vishal Film Factory and Disney UTV.
