The reason behind the break up is still unclear, but reports claimed that their relationship faced problems after Valentine’s Day where the engaged couple instead of spending time together maintained a significant distance from each other.

Manian runs film production firm Radiance Media Group which has produced Tamil movies 'Vaayai Moodi Pesavum' and 'Kavviya Thalaivan.' Besides, Manian also runs Radiance Realty.

On January 23, 2015, Trisha got engaged to Varun in a private ceremony. The event was attended only by kin and kiths and was a grand affair. The couple did not utter about their relationship until Varun’s tweet saying ‘Pre-Wedding Jitters? No better friend than a sister?’ According to sources, they decided to break their relationship after Varun’s visit to the US with his family.

Trisha is believed to be having quality time with her friends. The actress has her bright career ahead with few films on the cards. She has sighed projects with Kamal Haasan, Balakrishna and Jayam Ravi.
