MUMBAI: Television actress Mansi Srivastava will be seen dressing up as a boy in an upcoming episode for the show "Yeh Hai Aashiqui" and she says she was "eager" to see herself in a male avtar.

"I was eager to see myself in that avatar. I enjoyed every bit of it as it reminded me of all the body swap movies I have watched while growing up. I'm excited to see how fans of 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui' react to this character," Mansi said in a statement.

Mansi, who was seen in TV shows like "Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se" and "Peterson Hill", says this was her very first time for playing a male character on screen.

"This is the first time I became a boy for a story and that too a Sardar. The story was also very gripping, because of which I said yes to the part. It was very interesting to be in that getup, from putting on the beard and turban to talking like a Sikh boy," she added.

The episode will be aired on bindaas channel.
