The spinach-chomping man, who has been entertaining kids since 1929, is not going to miss this generation. Popeye ‘The Sailor Man’ is returning to hit the big screen with a new 3D avathar, from Sony Pictures Animation, directed by Genndy Tartakovsky. Tartakovsky has mentioned it will show “Artistic” features, that sounds similar to the Popeye Shows that has already hit the screens .
Popeye will be accompanied by his girl friend Olive Oyl, the villain Bluto and Eugene the Jeep.
It is clear from the above animation test video that the new Popeye will not be a flop show. The 85 year old sailor will amuse the audience with all the expected features of Popeye- The Sailor Man.
Popeye is expected in theaters sometime in 2016, but no official release date has been set.
