Film producer-distributor Karthik issued a statement to the press that he didn’t force Satna Titus, who debuted with Pichaikkaran opposite Vijay Antony, to marry him.
Their marriage took place at a registrar office in a hush-hush manner. Satna’s mother had told a Tamil daily that Karthik had forced her daughter into marrying him.
However, Karthik said, “We were in love for sometime and wished to take this forward. But both our families were against our decision. So we decided to register our marriage. We hope to convince our parents and get married with their blessings next year.”
Karthik is a partner in KR Films, the company which released Pichaikkaran in Tamil Nadu. Even after repeated efforts, Satna and her mother could not be reached for further comments.
