CHENNAI: Actress Catherine Tresa has been approached to play the leading lady in actor-filmmaker Prabhu Deva's upcoming Tamil action-drama "Eng Mang Sang", to be directed by debutant M.S. Arjun.

"Catherine has been approached but she still hasn't officially signed the project. Since she's already busy with two projects, she is finding it difficult to allocate dates. She will take a call on the offer in the next few days," a source close to the actress told IANS.

Prabhu Deva will be seen playing a Kung Fu master in the film, which is a period drama that travels from the 1970s to the 1980s.

A major portion of the film will be shot in China, where Prabhudheva will go to learn Kung Fu.

The regular shooting will commence from February 17.

The cast also includes Thankar Bachan and RJ Balaji.
