We had previously reported that comedian Vivekh and Devayani are teaming up for a film titled Ezhumin, directed by VP Viji. Dhanush has lent his voice for a song in the film, which said to be for and about youngsters.

Speaking about the track, director Viji says, “It’s an emotional song called Ezhuda Ezhuda, which appears at a crucial moment in the film. After composing and making an abstract, we weren’t sure whose voice would fit well. When Vivekh sir heard the song, he recommended Dhanush sir.

He said that this song is similar to the Amma Amma track in Velaiilla Pattadhari, which was a huge hit thanks to his mesmerising voice. So we asked Dhanush sir and he agreed instantly. Within a week, he made time for us and sang the song.”

The song, along with the rest of the album, will be released on August 6. Also starring actor-director Azhagam Perumal, the film is slated for release next month.
