Mithun Chakraborty, who did a series of disco songs and even movies, has been unwell for some time now. The pain from a neglected 2008 injury while shooting for “Luck” in South Africa, where the harnessed actor landed on some rocks below his safety mat, was significantly better after physiotherapy sessions. His son Mahaakshay Chakraborty told a Mumbai tabloid that the muscle spasm had been treated then and had “disappeared” with time. It has since recurred, so his father has been advised care due to his age and the injury’s location.

Until October, Mithun Chakraborty had been shooting for a dance reality show. The 65-year-old actor has been advised to rest until January.
