Ritika Singh, who plays the protagonist in Rajkumar Hirani’s “Saala Khadoos,” is a national level boxer. The production team and Hirani betted on a sportswoman rather than an actress for the role of a teenage boxer in the film — that too after they watched over 700 boxing bouts with different ‘candidates.’ Singh, 18, is also trained in karate and mixed martial arts. And yes, those 700 bouts featured 100 athletes from around the country who were all auditioned before Singh was chosen!
