Shraddha Kapoor on Family Vacation in Hong Kong and Macau

India West

MUMBAI: Shraddha Kapoor, riding high on the success of “ABCD 2,” which just crossed 100 crore in domestic business Jul. 5 (her second film after “Ek Villain” to do so), is with papa Shakti, mom Shivangi and brother Siddhanth on a family vacation in Hong Kong and Macau.

It was Siddhanth’s 31st birthday on Jul. 6, and father Shakti planned the entire trip, with a few surprises thrown in for the kids. He felt the kids have been working hard and needed a small break. Siddhanth has also been working on a project.

Before leaving, the actor mentioned, “We’ll be flying there, and I have made special arrangements for the soiree. My kids will be in for a shocker. I am looking forward to their shocked faces!”

One such shock was that they had the best room in the best hotel in Macau — Siddhanth was convinced they had stepped into the wrong hotel!

However, Shraddha has expressed thanks to “ABCD 2” producer Siddharth Roy Kapur for arranging everything at Disneyland there, including a fully complimentary trip and premium seats for the parade.

Among the compliments she has gotten for the film by phone and messages, the actress holds one conversation very close to her heart — the one with Aditya Chopra. Shraddha considers Chopra her mentor, as he believed in her talent despite her flop break in a miniscule role in “Teen Patti.” The filmmaker had cast her as the protagonist of his “Luv Ka the End” (2011), which despite its failure, had made the industry sit up and take notice of her. However, some misunderstanding had crept in, because Shraddha opted out of the three-film contract with Yash Raj Films to sign “Aashiqui 2” and “Ek Villain.”
