In a riveting feat, an Indian band has performed the National Anthem of Pakistan, Pak Sarzamin on the country's Independence Day which falls on August 14th.
The video by Indian Acapella Band Voxchord and uploaded by the Voice of Ram YouTube channel has already garnered more than 1,32,304 views.
The video, shot in Black and white begins with the band holding up placards which read, 'This Independence Day, we'd like to dedicate a song to our neighbours. A song about faith, pride and grandeur,
of power, progress and perfection.'
(Acapella or A Capella is a method of singing without using instrumental accompaniment.)
Many from India and Pakistan were surprised by the video and have reacted positively, thinking thanks Indians for the initiative.
While a huge number of people from both India and Pakistan saw this as a welcome move indeed, a lot many did not.
The Acapella track is arranged by Alex Samuel Jenito and conceptualised by Bhardwaj.
Vaishnavi Kannan, Vandana Mazan, Vagu Mazan, Bala Subramanyam, Brainard David and Alex Samuel Jenito have lend their voices for the video.
