MUMBAI: Priyanka Chopra paid homage to her father Ashok Chopra on his fifth death anniversary, calling him her "superhero".

In an emotional video posted on Instagram, the actor shared throwback pictures and clips of her father and said she has always aspired to be like him.

"My dad was my best friend, my idol and my protector. He was the man of my life. He was my superhero. I wanted to grow up and be him. He was an extremely confident man," the text appearing in the video read.

"5 years today. Miss you dad," she captioned the post.

Chopra passed away on June 10, 2013 after a long battle with cancer at the age of 64.
