BANGALORE: Nowadays, Maheshkumar alias Mangesh is a happy man. His second film Murali Meets Meera is all set to hit the silver screen shortly. His previous film is Dhimaaku in which Neveen Krishna was the hero.

In Murali Meets Meera, Prajwal Devaraj, Reema Vora and Harshika Ponacha are the lead pair while Sharan, Sadhu Kokila, Chandru and Ninasam Aswath are the other stars. Director Yogesh Hunasur makes debut as producer with the film.

Speaking to Expresso, Hunasur says that arrangements are being made to release it next month. “It is a different script. It explains that love is unique and also narrates how it happens between people,” says Hunasur.

Hunasur started his career as associate director and later graduated as director. He even handled the megaphone for films such as Police Power, Ninagoskara, Preethisalebeku and Lakshmi Mahalakshmi. How come Hunasur wanted to become producer instead of handling the megaphone? “Working as executive producer or as a co-producer is not a new thing for me. I was one of the producers of Krishnana Love Story. Initially, a few people wanted to join hands with me for this film. However, they did not honour their commitment. So, I had to produce it,” explains Hunasur.

It was said that Murali Meets Meera’s shooting was planned for 28 days but it got extended up to 45 days thus escalating the budget by Rs 20 lakh. “I expected the director to complete it in 28 days but he took 17 more days. The delay in completion of shooting made me increase the budget,” narrates Hunasur.

Abhimanyu Rai, who composed music for the successful film Tajmahal, is the music director for this film. the shooting was held in Bangalore and Sakleshpur.
