Though model Kavya Shetty is yet to showcase her talent as a debutante in the film I am in Love, she has already been in the limelight for a different reason. The newbie who was excited to be part of the audio release of her first movie along with her co-star Neha was in for a surprise, when senior actress Tara who is also the President of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy made a comment on the actor's dress code. (Kavya had worn a short blue satin dress).

Choosing not to get offensive about the episode, Kavya says "I really respect Tara ma’am. She just said that I need to dress up according to the occasion as people from the press might have a different reaction to what I had worn for the audio release. Being a model, I always think of being glamorous. Now that I have understood better, I will ensure that I go in formals for such occasions," she explains.

According to this newbie, the matter was blown out of proportion, she says. "The remark was also made for my other co-star who was present at the audio launch but nobody is speaking about her. Tara madam did not tell us that we were dressed in a vulgar fashion. When I have taken her comments positively, I don't know why others took it so seriously," she retorts.

With her new film titled I am in Love to be released soon, Kavya's dream of becoming an actress has finally come true.

“Having been in front of the camera on the ramp, I did not find it difficult to face the arc lights,” she says.

Even though glam world is nothing new to her, she did not get tensed working with an established hero, she explains. "Every girl who wants to get into limelight would like to be seen opposite a star. But I was happy to work with a lesser known hero  as I would have been scared and probably wouldn't have performed well. It is good to have started off with a new actor to get better exposure."

Her next film Shivani being a bilingual film, Kavya has  bagged a few projects in other languages on too. "Shivani is a thriller made in Tamil and Telugu, The movie is helmed by Sai Gokul Ramnath who has worked with commercial film specialist KV Anand in Maatram and Ayan. I am currently busy shooting for the film, which they plan to release sometime during end of November or December," reveals Kavya, who is yet to decide on her future projects.

"Commercials, advertisements and fashion shows are just one-day affairs. However, that is not the case with movies.

It takes at least three months for one project. As a new comer, I have to stick to few films and enjoy the acting experience rather than going on a signing spree," she concludes.
