The buzz around Uppi2 is gathering more and more momentum now that the film is releasing in more than 250 theatres in Karnataka. Going by the reports, the film will also release across  Andhra Pradesh and Telangana  in at least 400 theatres.  According to Srikanth, the distributor of Uppi 2, there is a lot of demand from Upendra fans who are asking for a midnight show too.

     “We are planning to fulfil the fans’ demands and we are talking to theatre owners to screen a show on August 14 at about midnight. This will be at places where there is a demand for a show like this,” says the distributor.

With the advance booking opening today, Kishore, an ardent fan of Upendra, has already requested for 400 tickets at Cinepolis, Bannerghatta Road. Balraj, Supevisor at Cinepolis,  said, “Kishore has been enquiring for the last 15 days as to when the advance booking will be open so that he can purchase the tickets. We will be accepting his bulk booking and will be issuing the tickets once the ticket counter opens for Uppi2. His group  will be occupying three auditoriums at Cinepolis during the first show on the first day.

Kishore is part of the Uppi’s fan club that operates from Uttarahalli.
