The passion for the six-yard has struck Amulya. The actor, who has got herself a makeover in every film that she has undertaken, will be seen flaunting chiffon sarees in a romantic number with Chiranjeevi Sarja in Ramleela. “We shot three different songs in Georgia and for each song, we had different patterns and every song had a varied backdrop. One song was shot against the mountains and snow, another was within a building, and for the third song, the director concentrated on statues. I wanted to wear something different for the melodious number written by Kaviraj,” she says.
While the actor admits that she had worn saris for scenes in other films, this is the first time that she has got an opportunity to wrap herself in chiffon sarees for a romantic song.
“It was difficult for me to handle the saree during the song shoot, but I have tried to carry it in my own style. I hope it works,” she says.
Sai from Chennai and her personal designer Suruchi have designed the sarees. The actress has two more days of schedule to complete Ramleela and she will follow it with Kaviraj’s film Maduveya Mamatheya Kareyole. “I plan to take up my next project once I complete 60- 70 per cent shoot of Kavirarj’s film,” she says.
