Avantika bags third Kannada film

A Sharadhaa

Avantika Shetty managed to catch Kannada filmmakers' eyes right from her debut Rangitaranga, created waves across the globe.

The actress, who got an opportunity to work with a star like Upendra in Kalpana 2 soon afterwards, has now bagged her third Kannada film. She has been roped in for Naresh Kumar's directorial.

In this, she is paired opposite Gurunandan of 1st Rank Raju fame. The film has no title yet.

Without much ado, the shoots have begun, for which the actor is in Bengaluru. "Today is the first day of my shoot, and I am getting introduced to the new technical team," she says. "Good films are bringing me back to this city."

Meanwhile, Avantika is gearing up for the release of Kalpana 2, slated for next week.

The remake of Kanchana 2 will see the actress essaying the role Tapsee Pannu played in the original.

"Before my second film releases, I am already shooting for my third. It feels good, and not every actress is fortunate to bag such an opportunity," she gushes.

This film comes together with the combination of a successful actor, producer and director. While Avantika rose to fame with Rangitaranga, producer K A Suresh is still basking in the glory of Shivalinga, a Shivarajkumar-starrer. The film has been declared as a 2016 blockbuster.

Naresh Kumar's debut 1st Rank Raju also saw a successful run at the box office.

The trio, we hope, will now carry the success forward, and give us another good film.
