Darshan-starrer Jaggu Dada, despite getting mixed reviews, records the highest opening collection at the box office.
According to Raghavendra Hegde, the director and producer of Jaggu Dada, the film has collected Rs 12.60 crore over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The debutant has definitely scored well with his first film.
"The most important thing I realised with my debut is that the fate of any film lies with the audience and I wholeheartedly thank them today. The experience I have got with my first film will help me do better in my career," says Raghavendra Hegde.
He adds, "I was so happy to see Houseful boards in almost all the theatres where it was released, in Karnataka. This wouldn't have been possible without the support of Darshan and team. I was happy when Ravi Shankar told me that the success of Jaggu Dada is from honesty and hardwork. I hope to do more Kannada films."
According to the director, Jaggu Dada will see good crowds through the week with the family audiences. "We are hoping to break records," he says.
Offers are coming for its remake it in other languages. Telugu star, Gopichand, will be watching the film this week. "A filmmaker from Bengali wants to do a remake," says the director.
