BENGALURU: Siddharth will join the bandwagon of engineer-turned-actors in the industry with his debut in Sipaayi.

The newcomer who fulfilled his parents wish to complete engineering degree has also done an MSc multimedia course in filmmaking and animation and is trained at Abhinaya Taranga. “Acting has been my passion, so I am here to realise it,” says the debutant, who has also taken the producer’s responsibility for the movie.

Siddharth got to realise his childhood dream when he was part of Lucia as a crowd funder. It was there that he met

Rajath Mayee, who worked as an associate to director Pawan Kumar. “I was closely connected with Lucia and quiet impressed with Rajath's work. At the same time, even I was looking for a director, who can give me a good launch. It was over a mutual discussion that we decided to come together,” Siddharth explains.

Apparently Rajath, who is also debuting with Sipaayi was particular to helm an action film for Siddharth. Reason being that the young talent has a Karate background. “I have represented India in 2007, when I won three silver and a bronze medal. When he got to know about it, he decided that I should debut in an action movie to explore my Karate talent,” he says.

Siddharth will be seen as a TV reporter along with Sruthi Hariharan and Sanchari Vijay in the film. “I play a undercover operator in Sipayi, who are authentically called ‘Hidden cameras’,” the actor tells us.

Sipaayi also sees Achyuth Kumar, who plays father to Siddharth.
