Ramesh Aravind’s upcoming bilingual, a remake of Queen, is finally set to roll with the star cast decided for both Kannada and Tamil remakes.
While Kajal Aggarwal will play Rani in the Kollywood movie titled Paris Paris, Parul Yadav will reprise Kangana’s role in Sandalwood’s Butterfly, Parul is busy preparing for the role and is sparing no effort to get into character before the she starts with her second schedule.
The first thing the actress crossed of the list is the look test, which she felt was important. City Express caught hold of the pictures and they show the actress looking every inch the girl-next door. Every detail has been looked into including her make up, hair-do and even the kind of clothes she will be wearing for the film, and Parul is been taking special care to add that local Kannada flavour.
Our source says, “Even though, the film has been inspired by Queen, Ramesh Aravind wants to retell the story that is all south Indian, and even infuse a freshness to this hit movie. Therefore, a lot of work is going into it.” Parul has been taking classes in diction, we hear. Our source says,
“Parul has been learning a special Kannada dialect for the film, because the character is from Gokarna, and their spken language is different from the more commonly heard Kannada.” The other locations chosen for the movie are Paris and Amsterdam, among other places.
While the preparations are on, Ramesh plans to go with the second schedule on the Kannada remake from October 4. Butterfly, made under Mediente International Films is being produced by Manu Kumaran. It has Mamtha Sagar writing the dialogues, and the cast includes Sudha Belvadi and Bhargavi Narayan.
Varun Shashi to reprise Rajkummar Rao’s role
Amy Jackson is to reprise the role of Lisa Haydon, in both Kannada and Telugu, and Varun Shashi Rao will also be a part of the bilingual. He will play Rajkummar Rao’s character from the original. Varun, who mesmerised everyone with his Cadbury commercial is a software engineer from Bengaluru, who decided to follow his passion to work in movies. The actor has been part of Tamil films and now has been roped in by Ramesh Aravind for both the remakes. The bilingual film also marks the debut of cinematographer Sathya Hegde in Tamil.
