Film of many firsts for Rachita Ram in 'Rustum'

Dimple Queen of Sandalwood paired opposite B-Town hero Vivek Oberoi in Ravi Varma’s directorial debut; film stars Shivarajkumar in lead.

A Sharadhaa

Looks like Ravi Varma has everything going for his directorial debut, Rustum. The film made under Jayanna Productions, brings together a power-packed cast, including Shivarajkumar in the lead, Shraddha Srinath and Bollywood hero, Vivek Oberoi. This film will mark Vivek’s Sandalwood debut.

The latest to join the crew is none other than our very own Dimple Queen aka Rachita Ram. Rustum is just another addition to the actor’s busy schedule. Both Vivek and Rachita will be joining the sets in August.

Quite naturally, Rachita is all smiles about the latest film in her kitty. “It’s sheer luck that I bagged the project and I’m starring opposite Vivek in his Sandalwood debut. This film also associates me with director Ravi Varma and producers Jayanna and Bogendra for the first time. In addition, Kannada superstar, Shivarajkumar, is also part of Rustum. I’ve grown up admiring him, and I am so happy to be working in a project that features the Century Star. That’s another first,” Rachita says.

Shoot for the film, which brings in diverse actors including actor Mahendran, Telugu actor Harish Uthaman and newbie Arjun Gowda is on full-swing. The film’s music is composed by Anoop Seelin and the cinematography is by Mahendra Simha, for whom Rustum is a second project after Tagaru.
