BENGALURU: R Chandru is currently wielding the megaphone for Upendra-starrer I Love You, the shooting for which is currently happening in Bengaluru. A family entertainer that takes on two aspects - Prema and Kama (love and lust) - features Rachita Ram in the female lead, along with Sonu Gowda.

The director recently started shooting some major action sequences, including a Kung Fu fight and a chopper-landing scene. Sonu, who joined the set on Monday, has started shooting her scenes with her on-screen husband, Upendra.

Excited about associating with Uppi for the first time, the Gultoo heroine says, “I’m looking forward to sharing screen space with Upendra. The moment I received a call from director Chandru, I started looking for a designer. But then the director told me that I play a typical housewife in the film and I should look traditional,” she laughs.

Sonu says that working with Upendra is exciting, but she is also nervous.

“There is excitement and nervousness at the same time, because I’m sharing screen space with an actor who is also a fantastic director. So his vision will be entirely different from mine. I’m curious about what he will think of my acting,”she says.

The film has music by Kiran Thotambyle and cinematography by Naveen Kumar.
