Nadiya Moidu returns with Mammootty film

In director Sohan Seenulal’s debut film ‘Doubles’, the former No 1 actress plays the role of Superstar’s twin sister.

KOCHI: The shooting of debutant director Sohan Seenulal’s ‘Doubles’ will start by November 15 at Pondicherry. Nadia Moidu, who made her debut with the Malayalam movie ‘Nokketha Doorathu Kannum Nattu’ in 1984, will play Mammootty’s twin sister in the film.

The duo had earlier worked in the 1986 romantic hit ‘Shyama’, in which she was seen in the title role. Both the actors will be working together again after over two decades. Nadia has acted in many Malayalam and Tamil movies since her debut. She is making her comeback to Malayalam films after two decades, her last Malayalam movie being ‘Vadhu Doctor Aanu’ in 1990. Model-turned-actress Tapsee will be playing the heroine in ‘Doubles’.

The others members of the cast includes Salim Kumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anoop Chandran and Biju Menon. The script of ‘Doubles’ is by Sachi-Sethu. KK Narayana Das will produce the movie under the banner of Dreams on Wheels. P Sukumar is the cameraman and James Vasanthan has composed the songs.
