‘Chinatown’ goes global

The Mohanlal-Jayaram-Dileep starrer by Rafi Mecartin was released in New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore.

KOCHI: The Malayalam movie ‘China Town’, which features all their super stars of Malayalam cinema like Mohanlal, Jayaram and Dileep, has crossed high seas. Much to the delight of Malayalis living abroad, the movie released in New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore last Friday.

‘China Town’ was first released in Kerala on April 14 and has had the box office ringing. The movie is directed by Rafi Mecartin and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirwad Cinema.

Some of the films that became a huge hit abroad are ‘Puthiya Mugham’, ‘Chattambi Nadu’, ‘In Ghost House’, ‘Best Actor’, ‘Pranjiyettan And the Saint’, ‘Body Guard’, ‘Traffic’, ‘Shikkar’ and ‘Kandahar’.
