Deepak Dev is all upbeat about the songs of his  forthcoming flick ‘Grandmaster’. The young music director has helmed a total of three songs for the swanky thriller starring Mohanlal, directed by B Unnikrishnan.

“I have high expectation regarding the songs since the last three movies that I worked with Mohanlal, ‘Christian Brothers’, ‘Udayananu Tharam’ and ‘Naran’ were chartbusters. Being an action packed movie, one may have doubts regarding the relevance of music. The songs of ‘Grandmaster’ will break such mindsets. Mostly being situational type, the songs have equal significance in the film. In fact the three songs, with it’s contemporary treatment and appealing visuals play a vital role in the storyline. They are sure to find a place in the hit charts,” says Deepak Dev.

The three songs include a melody ‘Akaleyo Nee’ sung by Vijay Yesudas, a fast number, ‘Aaranu Nee’ by Suchithra, and the title song, ‘Doore Engo Nee’ by debutante Sanjeev T. Veteran lyricists like Chitoor Gopi, Engandiyoor Chandrasekhar and Hari have penned the songs. The audio of the film has been released.
