KOCHI: Actor-producer Vijay Babu, who is allegedly involved in the assault on his business partner and actor- producer Sandra Thomas, said that there was a difference of opinion in the partnership of their firm, 'Friday Film House'.

Vijay Babu, the managing partner of the firm, made the submission in the petition filed by him seeking anticipatory bail before the Ernakulam Sessions Court.

“Both had decided to split the partnership and had agreed to divide the shares and their profits. However, on January 2, the complainant, Sandra Thomas --and her husband  Wilson John Thomas--  went to the office of Friday Film House and took away all the title deeds, the original partnership deed, computer system and other documents in the office," pointed out  Praveen K Joy, counsel for Vijay Babu.

On the next day, Wilson came for negotiation and demanded the entire property and as the negotiation was not successful, Sandra moved the false complaint, Vijay Babu stated in the petition.

Considering the plea, Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court directed the Elamakkara police to produce a case diary.

Meanwhile, Sandra Thomas submitted that her version should also be heard before finalising the anticipatory bail plea.

Officials said they have not recorded the statement of Vijay Babu as he is still at large. Meanwhile, Sandra Thomas is reportedly recuperating in a city hospital.

Sandra is best known for the roles in blockbusters 'Amen' and 'Zachariayude Garbhinikal'. Under the banner of Friday Film House, Vijay and Sandra had produced movies like 'Philips and the Monkey Pen', 'Adi Kapyare Kootamani', 'Peruchazhi' and 'Aadu Oru Bheekarajeeviyaanu'.
