Gaana Bajaana is the second movie of director Prashanth Raj. Earlier, Raj had handled the megaphone for Love Guru that became a huge success at the box office.
The specialty of Gaana Bajaana is that it has almost all the artistes and technicians who worked for Love Guru .
Music director Joshua Sridhar, choreographer Mehul and cinematographer RG Sekhar have done a commendable job. The songs are pleasing to the ears.
The movie is all about Radha alias Radhe (Radhika Pandit) one of the students at Gaana Bajaana dance studio. Enamoured by the rough and tough attitude of Kuttappa alias Kutti (Dileep Raj), Radhe falls in love with him. Meanwhile, Radhe's grand-father (CR Simha) asks her to be prepared to get married to his close friend's grandson, Krish (Tharun), who has a dance school abroad. He even arranges her betrothal with Krish at a hospital where Krish's grandfather was admitted for some 'illness'. She reluctantly obliges her grandfather.
Circumstances compel Krish to come down to Bangalore. He tries to become closer to her. The more he tries to become closer to her the more she tries to avoid him. She even threatens to commit suicide if her parents insist her to marry him.
Finally, she realises that Kutti is in love with his dance teacher.
The film has all the ingredients to cater to the youth. The film would have been a better one if the director had made some effort to make the script interesting and screenplay crisp. Tharun and Dileep Raj have acted well. While Tharun is generous to showcase his semi-clad body, Dileep Raj is impressive with his dialogue delivery and dancing skills. Radhika Pandit walks away with all honours.
Veteran actress Lakshmi Devi has provided good support. She deserves appreciation for accepting to play such a role in this movie.
