Actor Parthiban is playing the waiting game these days. On the one hand seems to be the never-ending wait for the completion of 'Ayirathil Oruvan' where he plays the role of a lifetime.
And on the other hand is the wait to find the heroine for his next venture.
Parthiban is all set to direct and act in his next film 'Vitthagan.' “The script has been ready for two years now,” he discloses.
But his commitments to 'Ayirathil' probably kept his own film on the backburner.
Now with 'Ayirathil' coming to the fag end of its shooting, Parthiban is gearing up for his own venture.
However, there is a slight snag. He is yet to find his leading lady.
So what’s the difficulty in finding a heroine? “I have a particular kind of face in mind for the role of a Christian girl. All the leading ladies are busy and besides they already have an image. I want someone fresh for this role and I am on the look-out,” he explains.
'Vittagan' is going to be an all out commercial cop story and action film. So what’s going to be special about it? Parthiban ponders before replying, “I too have done several cop movies myself. But this film is going to be really different.
Only when one scene gets claps will I show the next scene,” he jokes. But the meaning comes across clearly. He is out to make a film that will draw applause from the audiences.
Will his film have the heavy glam element like 'Pachaikudirai', which had some hot scenes with Namitha? “That was necessary for that film and those characters,” Parthiban clarifies. “But in 'Vitthagan' it will be the chemistry between the hero and heroine that will be the glam element. If you remember the scenes with Soundarya in a sari in Ivan, the chemistry will be something like that.” 'Vitthagan' will be shot in Bangkok, Hyderabd , Coonoor and Chennai.
