THE Moser Baer and Ocean Entertainments’ Jab We Met remake, Kanden Kadhalai seems to be going full steam ahead according to reports from that camp. Nearly 50 percent of the film has been completed in the first schedule itself, thanks to immaculate planning and execution by director Kannan and the production houses.

The cast and crew including Bharath, Tamannaah and Munna have just returned from a long schedule at Ooty. Chengalpet, Coonoor, Pollachi and the Tirumoorthy Dam have been some of the locations the unit traveled to for the shoot. The next schedule is planned in Theni, Chennai and Pollachi in June and July. According to producer G Dhananjayan, “Kanden Kadhalai will be a different experience for the Tamil audiences.

It’s a remake but certain cultural changes have been done to adapt to local tastes.” Tamannaah seems happy with the way the shoot has turned out with Bharath. “Kannan encourages us to give inputs and the two songs we shot have come out better than the original I think.” Kannan lauds the production team for their excellent planning that has enabled him to proceed to fast. “Though the entire first schedule of 27 days was outdoors, we were able to complete shooting ahead of schedule. This was possible only due to coordination of all departments of the production team,” says Kannan. He adds, “PG Muthiah’s cam- erawork is going to be a great plus for the film.” The film is slated for a September 2009 release.
