SANDALWOOD actor Tarun’s latest film is Love Guru. He has earlier acted in films like Gelaya, Hani Hani and Seena. But all of them did not create much impact at the box office.
Now, Tarun is back in news not only because of Love Guru, but also because he has shed a lot of weight and has even done away with a moustache.
People, especially his fans, are thrilled to see Tarun’s new avatar.
While a few are saying that Radhika Pandit is the woman behind Tarun’s new look, while other cine buffs are giving credit to the director of Love Guru, Prashanth Raj.
When asked about his new getup, Tarun says, “Let me explain that Radhika Pandit has nothing to do with my new look. She is the heroine in this film and one of my well-wishers but not a person to dictate me.” The upcoming artiste has said that it all happened during a photo shoot of Love Guru. Tarun said that director Prashanth Raj, who has done a few ad films in Mumbai, happened to see his photo album and was impressed by one particular photo. “That photo was taken seven years ago.
The director asked me whether I could shed a few kilos to look like what I used to back in the days when the photo was taken.
Those days, I had no moustache.
So, apart from losing some weight, I had to forego my lovely moustache,” explains Tarun with a smile.
What did Tarun do 10 kg of weight? “I did a lot of workout and also had non-veg food,” says Tarun. Usually, while dieting, most people stop eating non-veg.
So, how did Tarun succeed in shedding weight even after having non-veg food daily? “It is the secret of my fitness. I am different.
Others can stop eating non-veg food but I can’t,” says Tarun.
What does Tarun think of Radhika Pandit? “Radhika is a very good actress with lot of potential.
She did a fantastic job and co-operated during the shooting,” he says.
Love Guru has Dileep Raj and Yagna in the star cast. Director Prashant Raj makes his debut in Sandalwood with this film. His brother Naveen Raj is the producer.
