REMEMBER actor RK, the vigilante lawyer in Ellam Avan Seyal directed by Shaji Kailas? Well RK is back with Azhagar Malai, teaming up with comedy king Vadivelu in village story. The film is produced by Sangalimurugan, who has films like Ellam Avan Seyal and Kadalakku Mariyadai in his kitty.

Reportedly Vadivelu was so taken up by the script that he gave a 20 day call sheet for it. Normally the comedian does not allot more than a week for any film.

The film’s highlight therefore are going to be the comedy scenes which bodes well for the film since most successful films usually have had a sound comedy track.

For RK himself it’s a different role from the city bred lawyer in his debut film. Here he plays a rowdy, village character. The story revolves around how the hero deals with the egoistic villagers winning over them in situations.

The comedy is supposed to be a good mix catering to both urban and the rural audiences.

The movie is directed by SP Rajkumar ( of En Purushan Kuzhanthai Madiri, Ponmanam and Karmegham fame), who is handling the story, dialogues and screenplay as well. Kartik Raja cranks the camera while Maghi handles art direction and JL Harsha edits.

The six songs are composed by Isaignani while Rocky Rajesh handles stunts.

Napoleon, Lal, Manivannan, Sukangya, Saravanan and Sona make up the impressive list of cast members while Bhanu (who was hardly seen after co-starring with Vishal in Thamrabharani) is the heroine.
