CHENNAI: Disgruntled with rumours that Murugadoss’ upcoming trilingual movie ‘7 AUM Arivu’ is a remake of Christopher Nolan’s yet to be released movie ‘Inception’, the filmmaker has finally made his call. Says Murugadoss: ‘It’s really absurd! These rumour mongers are coming up with such silly stories. I didn’t copy ‘inception’. How can I remake Christopher Nolan’s new film that is slated to hit screens on July 16?’

The filmmaker’s previous film ‘Ghajini’ (made in Tamil and Hindi with the same title) was based on Christopher Nolan’s ‘Mementos’, while the Hollywood filmmaker’s other film ‘Following’ “inspired” debutant Ahmad to make ‘Vamanan’ starring Jai and Rahman in lead roles.

The shooting of ‘7 AUM Arivu’ started in Chennai couple of weeks ago and the entire crew will fly to China in August for shooting major portions of the film.

Harris Jayaraj has completed scoring almost all the songs while ace Ravi K. Chandran is handling cinematography. Shruthi Haasan is playing the female lead and Suriya is going to play dual role in this film.
