It is well known that the title of director Rajesh’s next movie, All in All Azhagu Raja, has been inspired by the character of the same name in the movie Vaidehi Kaathirundhal ,played by veteran comedian Goundamani.

It was, in fact, reported that actor Karthi had paid the comedian a visit, when he decided to make a movie immortalising that character.

However, it is now learnt that the film’s title has been changed.

This is due to the state government’s restriction of extending entertainment tax exemption only for those films with Tamil titles.

“We registered the title All in All Azhagu Raja as it sounded funny and was catchy as well. But now we have decided to retain only Azhagu Raja and All in All will be used only as a tagline,” says director Rajesh.

When asked what to expect from the film, the SMS-fame director shares precious little. “I have only prepared the basic storyline and received the nod from producer Gnanavel Raja. Other things, including the cast and crew, will be decided only later,” he says.

Rajesh, who is busy giving the final touches to Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, refutes reports that music director Harris Jayaraj caused delay in the release of the movie.

“We shot one song very recently and gave it to him. So, he is not to blame for the delay.

OKOK will hit screens by the second week of April,” he says. And guess what? Udhyanidhi plays the role of a staff at Sathyam Cinemas in the movie!
