It wasn’t a pleasant Valentine’s Day for Ananya. Her marriage plans with Anjaneyan have hit a roadblock after news reports claiming that the Thrissur-based businessman was already married began to emerge. Anjaneyan, it is claimed, has filed for a divorce from his wife of three years. Sources say the proceedings are still on. When this news broke out in Ananya’s house, her father immediately filed a case against him for not disclosing about his previous marriage.

Meanwhile, Ananya’s mother told City Express that her daughter knew everything about Anjaneyan including his previous marriage. Her mother said, “It was a huge shock for us when media started reporting on this. When we confronted Ananya, she told us that she knew about his marriage and that she had hid it from us because she was  in love with him.”

However, she trashed the rumours that Ananya has called off her wedding. She said, “It is a baseless rumour. Her marriage will happen soon. And it’s not fair to say that she has been locked up in the house. Nothing like that has happened.” She said and added, “In fact, Anjaneyan is not 38-years-old. He is only married but has no kids. Now, he has applied for divorce and everything will be settled soon after that.”

According to her mother, the engagement happened only after the mutual consent of both families. Now with this news, her mother says, “Our daughter’s happiness is important to us. At present, she wants to get married to him once the divorce proceedings are completed.”
