This is one news that will make Tamil film industry proud. Actor Shanthnoo’s upcoming film Amali Thumali, directed by K S Adhiyaman, is touted to be the first Indian film to shoot extensively in Fiji Islands, a small island in the South Pacific Ocean.

The star kid, who has returned from the island, says, “It makes me feel proud and happy that my film was the first to be shot in Fiji. We also heard that after Amali Thumali, a couple of Hindi films were also canned there. We have completed 75 per cent of the movie in Fiji and the remaining will be shot in Chennai after the strike.”

Amali Thumali is the new title for the film, which was earlier called Nanba. However, after Shankar’s Nanban was released, the director opted for a new name. But Amali Thumali too, is only as a working title.

Popular percussionist Sivamani will be composing music for this film, in which Nakul, Shanthnoo and Swati play the leads. “Amali Thumali  is a breezy romance about how our lives change after we meet each other,” Shanthnoo says.

Talking about his experience in CCL, the actor feels his passion for cricket has increased his level of professionalism. “Cricket has always been my passion. Actually, CCL helped me bond with other actors also. TRP-wise, the celebrity league was better received than IPL,” he excitedly says.
