Director Samuthirakani, who usually casts more than one heroine in his films, has followed suit in his next flick as well. He has roped in actors Amala Paul and Meghna Raj to play the female leads in Nimirndhu Nil in which actor ‘Jayam’ Ravi will play the lead. Ravi is said to play a middle class youngster who wants to lead a clean life, in the film. According to a source, both heroines fall for the actor in the movie.
The film is said to revolve around the problems an ordinary person faces in life. Samuthirakani recently said at a public event that the film has been a new attempt for both him and protagonist Ravi. Nimirndhu Nil is being made as a bilingual and Nani, who has acted in Veppam, is playing the hero in the Telugu version.
Both heroines will reprise their roles in both versions of the film, which will, however, not be shot simultaneously. The two versions will will be shot in different locations to maintain nativity. “The film will not be a regular bilingual where only the hero changes. The entire backdrop will change in Nimirndhu Nil,” the source said.
The shooting of the film will go on floors today. The first schedule of the movie will be canned in the city, while Nani’s portions will be shot in a set erected at AVM Studios. Actor Ravi will join the crew this month end after he completes Ameer’s Adhi Bhagavan.
