Tamil actor-director Cheran, known for films "Autograph", "Thavamai Thavamirundhu" and "Yuddham Sei", has launched his personal website in a bid to stay connected to his fans.

"In this technological era, best way to stay connected with fans is via digital platform. Since I'm not active on social networking sites, I decided to open a website. It will have information about all my upcoming projects," Cheran told IANS.

He launched the site Sunday.

"I have taken special interest in literature lately and, therefore, have started my own publishing house. My site will also have information about all the books released under my publication. One of the recently released Tamil novels is called 'Porum Valiyum', an emotional account of war-torn Sri Lanka," he said.

To know more, people can log on to www.directorcheran.com

How will you take out time to manage the site?

"I have a team that will be constantly active on the site. Of course, I will supervise whenever I find time. We are also planning to make it more interactive as much as possible," he added.

He is currently awaiting the release of his Tamil directorial venture "JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai".
