Eight-year old Uthara, daughter of singer and Carnatic vocalist P Unnikrishnan, has made her solo debut with upcoming Tamil drama "Saivam".

Eight-year old Uthara, daughter of singer and Carnatic vocalist P Unnikrishnan, has made her solo debut with upcoming Tamil drama "Saivam". The film's composer G.V Prakash Kumar is all praise for the young singer.

"Unnikrishnan sir's daughter Uthara has crooned a solo number. She has lent her voice for child actress Sara Arjun in the film. Music composer Prakash, who was very happy with the singing ability of her, couldn't stop praising her," the film's spokesperson told IANS.

Prakash also posted a picture of Uthara recording for the song in the studio at micro-blogging site Twitter with a caption reading: "This young star Uthara is making her solo debut with 'Saivam' song. She is unnikrishnan sir's 8-year-old daughter."

Directed and produced by A.L Vijay, "Saivam" revolves around Sara Arjun, who is essaying the lead role. This is the second time she has teamed up with Vijay after Tamil drama "Deiva Thirumagal".

Currently on floors, the film will be released under the banner Think Big Studios.
