Fourteen years after he first sang playback for Vijay in Kannukul Nilavu, veteran singer KJ Yesudas will be once again singing for the star in Kaththi. Yesudas, who sang Anbulla Appa for Imman in the film Sigaram Thodu recently, will be a part of an interesting lineup of singers including Shankar Mahadevan, Shweta Mohan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Vishal Dadlani, Aadhi, Anirudh and Vijay himself. The film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Even as fans await the audio release of Kaththi on September 18, a song from the movie, titled "Selfie pulla", went viral on the Internet recently, upping the anticipation around it
