G K Reddy Turns Actor in Remake of Pisaasu

Often a person in the field of art remains ageless— the same is true for popular Tamil and Telugu film producer and actor Vishal’s father G K Reddy. The producer, who has been creating ripples from behind the scenes is now donning the greasepaint.

Reddy will be seen playing a strong character in the Kannada remake of Myskkin’s highly successful flick Pisaasu. Pisaasu that starred Naga and Prayaga Martin in lead roles also had Radha Ravi in a pivotal role, giving a sparkling performance. Reddy will be seen playing the role essayed by Radha Ravi of a grief-stricken father, who wants to avenge the man responsible for his daughter’s death.

The Kannada remake is being directed by a debutant filmmaker Ashraf, who is a former associate of AR Murugadoss.

The movie stars newcomer Navarasan in lead role, while popular actor Sindhu Loknath will be playing the female lead, alongside Reddy. The film has already gone on floors.

Curious to see his dad’s maiden project as an actor, the actor is said to have been highly excited about the project.

Vishal visited the sets of the film in Chennai and wished the film success.

Pisaasu, which released in December 2014 and went on to become one of the most profitable films of the year.
