Vetrimaran's Visaranai Now Impresses Judges

Vetrimaran's Visaranai, which has been garnering praise from all quarters, has now come in for appreciation from judges as well. Sources say that honourable justice P N Prakash, a judge of the Madras high court watched Visaaranai with trainee civil judges recently. They also add that director Vetri Maaran and writer Chandra Kumar, who were present on the occasion, addressed the gathering after the screening. Sources also say that Justice P N Prakash appreciated the film and its crew.

Meanwhile, in another development, the uncut version of the critically acclaimed thriller is to be released online.

The uncut version, which includes profanity and violence, was screened at several film festivals.

"We're planning to release the uncut version on YouTube. It should be available online in two months," IANS quoted Vetrimaran as having said. The film, which is about police brutality, is based on Tamil novel "Lock Up".It stars Dinesh, Samuthirakani, Murugadoss and Kishore in important roles.
