Director Santhosh P Jayakumar of Hara Hara Mahadevaki fame, whose second film, Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuththu with Gautham Karthik is yet to be released, has already started work on his third project with Arya titled Ghajinikanth. The film’s first look was released on midnight on Monday to coincide with Arya’s birthday—and Rajinikanth’s birthday on the following day.

The first look has Arya in an ethnic attire sans a veshti resembling a character portrayed by Rajini in the 1988 classic, Dharmathin Thalaivan. Speaking to CE, Santhosh says, “We have completed a song shoot in Thailand. We’ll continue shooting in Chennai from today and the film will be completed in one stretch.” Talking about the first look, he says, “We’ve revealed the film’s story with the look. As you might have deciphered, it’s about a man who has memory issues.”

Starring Sayyeshaa as the heroine, the film also stars Karunakaran, Sathish, Rajendran, Sampath, Aadukalam Naren and Madhumita. Moving away from the adult theme that he maintained in his first two films, Santhosh calls Ghajinikanth ‘a rom-com with family sentiments’. “It’ll be a film for all,” assures Santhosh who adds that he is in talks for his fourth film.
