CHENNAI: Rumours were abuzz that Madhavan and Mani Ratnam may reunite for the fourth time, but latest reports suggest that the filmmaker hasn’t finalised any actor for his upcoming Tamil project.

According to sources, he was in talks with a few actors including Madhavan, but the latter hasn’t signed for it yet. “It will take more than two weeks to know who’s on board.

It is not going to be a romantic film. He’s trying to explore a different genre this time,” adds the source.

Mani Ratnam has previously directed Madhavan in Alaipayuthey, Kannathil Muthamittal and Aayutha Ezhuthu. We hear this yet-to-be-titled project may feature two protagonists.

However, official confirmation is awaited. Cinematographer Santosh Sivan has been roped in for this film, which marks the sixth time he is collaborating with Mani.
