It’s well-known that RK Nagar was the constituency of the late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The constituency was also in the news sometime ago, owing to the cancellation of the by-election that was supposed to happen there.

The director, however, tells CE that his film is not political.

“It has a fair mix of many elements, including comedy, action, and romance. The film will be on the lines of Maanagaram. It’s about four characters whose lives intersect at one point. We are planning to start the first schedule in Chennai soon.”

While Premgi Amaren will be composing the music, Vaibhav will be playing the main lead in RK Nagar, which will also feature Sana Althaf and Sampath in pivotal roles. While Venkatesh S is handling the cinematography, Praveen KL will take care of editing.
