Cinematographer Priyan, the man behind the lens of Director Hari's action packed Singam series, passed away on Thursday. He was 53.

According to media reports, the ace lensman died of a heart attack at his residence in Chennai.

Priyan has worked as cinematographer for numerous movies including blockbusters like Kamal Haasan's Thenali, Vijay's Velayutham. The cinematographer is well known for his collaborations with director Hari - 13 in total. These include movies like Saamy, Thamirabarani and the Singam series which were all huge blockbusters. Priyan was working on director Hari's sequel of Vikram-starrer Saamy before his untimely demise.

Celebrities from the film industry have condoled the death of Priyan.
