Stunt master S Mohanraj dies during film shoot in Tamil Nadu

According to sources, Mohanraj was working in the renowned film director Pa Ranjith's movie 'Vettuvam'

NAGAPATTINAM: Renowned stunt master SM Raju aka S Mohanraj died following an accident during a film shoot near Nagapattinam on Sunday.

The 52-year-old, a native of Poongandam in Kanchipuram district, was working on director Pa Ranjith's film Vettuvam. The crew had been shooting for the past three days at a salt pan in Vizhunthamavadi village, Nagapattinam district.

The chilling visuals of the accident which has now gone viral showed the car driven by Raju, in a high-octane stunt scene, crash violently and turn turtle. Raju collapsed following the crash and was pulled out by his colleagues. He was rushed to the Government Medical College Hospital at Orathur near Nagapattinam, where he was declared brought dead.

The Keelaiyur police have registered a case.
